M&S duvet sale sees their 'fresh and cool' bedding half price and their goose feather only £45

Both duvets have nearly five stars

M&S' summer sale includes bedding, and some of their best-selling duvets are discounted. There's currently up to 50 per cent off selected bedding in the big sale.

A double Fresh and Cool duvet with 4.5 Tog was originally £59, but is currently down to £29.50. Similarly, the single version is down to £24.75 from £49.50.

The 1 Tog option is also 50 per cent off, with the cheapest single option currently costing £19.75. The duvet has almost five stars from reviews, with one person writing: "Perfect for warm summer nights. Light weight but sufficient to 'feel' you are cushioned; so more than a sheet but less weighty than a blanket."

Another person said "It is a perfect tog for this weather - warm but not extremely hot. It feels soft and fresh and lightweight." A third added: " I bought these as I cannot sleep without a cover in the summer but didn't want anything too hot, this quilt is lovely and cool, soft and silky, I'd recommend it to anyone."

However, a less happy customer said "I bought a 3 tog form M&S last year, I was hoping that the 1 tog would be thinner and lighter, it's not, if anything it's thicker and warmer. It's good quality though, if you're looking for a 3 tog weight."

The heavier goose feather and down duvet is also heavily discounted. It's available in 4.5, 7.5, 10.5, 13.5 and 15 Tog, with the cheapest single 4.5 Tog down to £39 from £65.

From 224 reviews, the duvet has just over 4.5 stars. One person wrote "Perfect for summer but I may use all year round. Hold its shape - feathers don’t go to bottom or top as individual filled in squares. Really excellent quality. Really pleased with it."

Another added "Much better than man made filling, very light and comfortable, wish we had got a summer one years ago." A third wrote "Very good quality, soft and snuggly. Very comfortable."

However, one unsatisfied person said: "Bought this feather duvet 4.5 around 8 months ago. It's like sleeping in a paper bag it's noisy when I move. The feathers have disappeared from the top part and I'm sick of getting spiked by escapee feathers. If I could find the receipt it would be going back."
